HANS CHRISTIAN BERGER - WRITER/DIRECTOR, PRODUCER
After Eden marks the first feature for writer/director and producer Hans Christian Berger. Berger studied history, philosophy and music in his native Austria at the University of Vienna and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Upon arriving in Canada in 2007, he changed course to pursue his long-standing passion for film. His previous projects include narrative and documentary short films as well as public film installations.
TYLER DECK - PRODUCER
After Eden is Tyler Deck’s first feature film as a producer. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Deck moved to Vancouver in 2010 to pursue filmmaking. He has worked as director, producer and writer on several independent film projects. His short film, Van Man, was selected to screen at the Whistler Film Festival in 2012.
BJÖRN HERMANNES - CINEMATOGRAPHER
Born in Canada, cinematographer Björn Hermannes grew up in Hamburg, Germany. Now based out of his native Vancouver, he has years of experience in the camera and electrical department on projects ranging from features and television dramas to commercials and music videos. After Eden is his first feature film as cinematographer.
TANE STANGE - PRODUCTION DESIGNER
Born and raised in the small rural village of Caroline, Alberta, production designer Tane Stange moved to Vancouver in 2012 to pursue her career in the film industry. Since her arrival on the West Coast, she has been involved in multiple independent film productions and has served as production designer on independent feature films, shorts, and music videos.
DAVID RONCIN - EDITOR
Originally from Manitoba, David Roncin is a Vancouver-based independent writer, director and editor with short films and music videos to his credit. In 2007, he attended the Cannes Film Festival in the Reel Ideas Studio program where he directed a short documentary. His production background includes working with Out TV, Knowledge Network, and the National Film Board of Canada. After Eden marks David’s first feature film as an editor.
KARLA MELENDEZ - SOUND DESIGNER
Born and raised in Hermosillo, Mexico, Karla Melendez moved to Australia to study music production when she discovered her love for sound design. Since moving to Vancouver, she has worked in all departments of sound, specializing in dialogue editing and re-recording mixing. Melendez’s experience extends to feature films, episodic television, game audio and shorts. After Eden marks her first feature as a lead sound designer. Melendez handled all aspects of sound production, from location recording to the final sound mix.
JOHN POZER - EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
John Pozer is a film director, writer, producer and editor. He has had two independent features selected to the Cannes Film Festival and directed a slate of episodic television. His first feature, The Grocer’s Wife, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and opened the Critics' Week at Cannes in 1992. Pozer returned to Cannes as Executive Producer and editor on Kissed in 1997. He has directed television for several networks, including MTV and Disney Channel, and is also known for his work on Beast Wars, the groundbreaking computer-animated series.
LORRAINE JAMISON - EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Lorraine Jamison is a unit publicist whose credits include films by directors such as Brian De Palma, Tim Burton, David Mamet, Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg and, most recently, Alejandro González Iñárritu. Jamison has also served as publicist and director of communications for several major festivals, including The Hamptons International Film Festival, The Montreal World Film Festival and Just For Laughs, the Montreal International Comedy Festival.
